Raffles Girls' School Symphonic Band
The Raffles Girls’ School Symphonic Band was established on 19 June 1965, one of the first school bands to be established in Singapore. From its humble beginning of 25 members, it has since developed into a full-fledged symphonic band of about 80 members.
Recently, the RGS Symphonic Band has achieved Distinction in 2023 at the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Concert Bands. RGS Symphonic Band aspires to instill within its members a passion for music, while nurturing a sense of unity and friendship through teamwork and camaraderie, hence our motto “Friendliness, Humility, Responsibility”.
