Nanyang Girls' Concert Band

The Nanyang Concert Band, formerly known as Nanyang Military Band, began as a 30-member brass band in 1969. Over the years, it has grown into a band with over 90 members. The band participates in the Singapore Youth Festival and achieved the Distinction award in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2023. Previous conductors of the band included Mrs. Jessie Ho, Mr. Lee Sek Chiang, Ms. Samantha Chong and Dr. Matthew Lim. Since 2017, the band has been under the baton of Mr. Louis Yeo. The band’s motto is “The Passion Lives On” regularly performs in our “Appassionata” concert series.
