Xili Primary School Wind Band

Xili Primary School (located in Shenzhen, China) was established in 1933, with the instrumental wind music program beginning in 2000. Currently, there are over 150 students involved with 2 developmental concert bands, the wind symphony and jazz big band, and since 2008 has become one of China’s most prominent and successful primary school band programs with 2 WAMSB junior world championships in 2011 and 2017, along with numerous gold medal performances in China, Malaysia, Australia and the USA. The Xili primary school motto has always been to “aim high and be humble” and the band program is honored to personify that!
