National Junior College Symphonic Band
The National Junior College Symphonic Band (NJCSB) began in 1969 as a brass band. After years under Associate Professor Ho Hwee Long’s guidance, Mr. Seow Yibin took over as the band’s conductor in 2022. The symphonic band is a fixture in college life and also represents the school in competitions and international festivals.
The band’s motto, “Triumph in Harmony”, reflects the spirit of achieving excellence through unity. Triumph represents the pursuit of mastery, while Harmony refers to the musical blending of the notes, and cohesion among members. This aligns with the school’s motto of “Service with Honour”. Just as triumph in harmony requires individual discipline tow
