Riverside Secondary School Symphonic Band was founded in 1988, and the band has regularly taken part in competitions such as the Singapore Youth Festival and Singapore International Band Festival. The Band attained a silver award from the 2007 Beijing International Band Festival, the prestigious Gold award for the 2nd Singapore International Band Festival in 2010 and a Bronze award in the 2B division in 2016. The RSS Band was awarded distinction in 2013, 2015 and accomplishment commendation in the 2017 Singapore Youth Festival Arts presentation. RSS Band seeks for more opportunities to improve and strive for other achievements.
