Singapore International Band Festival (SIBF) is a biennial festival that was started in 2008 by the Wind Bands Association of Singapore. The SIBF artistic direction is steered by the Artistic Panel made up of local and international musicians and music educators. 


The SIBF competition has 5 divisions for bands to choose from. Each division is distinct in terms of music difficulty level and performance duration requirements. Participating bands get to choose their challenge level and music that can best showcase the band’s performance ability. 

The 2nd WBAS Wind Band Composition Contest invites composers to write original wind band compositions of high artistic and educational merits. The contest comprises of has four categories with each differing in music difficulty level, performance duration and instrumentation.




In addition to Competition, participants get to experience cultural exchange and educational learning through the International Exchange, Workshop with adjudicators, Gala Concert and Outreach showcase.


The festival and competition will be held at the Esplanade Concert Hall (left). and the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Concert Hall  (right).
